Make trick-or-treat night fun and easy with these pizzas. Purchased crust is topped with shredded cheese, sauce, and fun faces with olive puree.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup course cornmeal
  • 2 ready-made pizza crusts
  • 2 cups favorite pasta sauce
  • 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 6-ounce can black olives, drained

Method

Preheat oven to 425F. Divide cornmeal among two pizza pans; place one crust onto each pan. Spread 1 cup pasta sauce onto each crust. Sprinkle 2 cups mozzarella onto each crust. Sprinkle 3/4 cup cheddar onto each crust. Bake pizzas for 15-20 minutes, until cheese is melted and just barely turning brown at the edges. Let pizzas sit for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, place olives into a blender, and puree. Place puree in a sturdy resealable plastic bag. Snip a small piece from one corner of the bag. Pipe jack-o-lantern faces onto each pizza: triangles for eyes, an upside down triangle for a nose, squiggles for a mouth -- whatever strikes your kids' fancy! Serve hot, after all the kids admire how great the pizzas look!

Notes: This recipe takes advantage of store-bought ingredients for the sake of speed; who needs to be rushing around in the kitchen when there are kids to dress for Trick or Treating??? These pizzas are easy to make, festive, and delicious!

Number of Servings: 8 (2 slices per person)
