I Want My Mummy Pesto Margarita Pizzas

String cheese and olives make a goohlish Halloween mummy pizza.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 10 inch thin crust baked pizza crust
  • 1 4 1/2 ounce jar pesto sauce
  • 1 large plum tomato, sliced thinly crosswise and quartered
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 4-5 1 ounce packages, individually wrapped string cheese
  • Sliced green olives with pimento, 2 olive slices per pizza
  • Dried oregano
  • 8 Large whole pitted black olives

Method

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Using a gingerbread man cookie cutter, cut 6-8 shapes from pizza crust to make each pizza mummy. Place cut outs on a cookie sheet. Spread 1/2-1 tablespoon pesto sauce on each mummy shape. On top of pesto layer, place thinly sliced tomatoes. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top of tomatoes. Peel string cheese into thin raggedy pieces, to resemble mummy cloth. Place two olive slices on each mummy face for eyes. Arrange string cheese pieces to look like mummy cloth on top of each pizza, cutting cheese piece to fit as needed. Arrange string cheese over face so olive eyes are peering out. Sprinkle with dried oregano. Cut a small piece off the closed end of each olive, this will be the spiders head. To make spider bodies, cut a slice from the side of each olive. Cut remainder of each olive into 8 small pieces for spider legs. Arrange one spider on top of each pizza. Bake until cheese is melted.
