Bread shaped as creepy Halloween characters with a grape or olive topping, dipped in a cheesy bloody mary dip.

  • Servings: 24

½ cup Blood Orange Juice
2 Tbsp Ketchup
2 tsp Tabasco Mild Bloody Mary Sauce
¾ cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded
11 oz can Refrigerated French Bread
¼ cup Kalamata Olive Spread
¼ cup Black Grapes
Bat Shaped Cookie Cutters, other halloween shapes may be used as well

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Puree the black grapes and set aside.

Lay the refrigerator French bread on a board.

Using a rolling pin, roll to the dough until it is 1 inch thick.

Cut French loaf into bat shapes using the cookie cutter and place on a well greased cookie sheet.

Bake in oven for 8-10 minutes.

Allow to cool.

Using a knife, spread a heaping teaspoon of the kalamata topping on half of the bats.

Top the other half of the bats with the black grape puree.

In a glass bowl, combine the blood orange juice, ketchup, bloody mary sauce, and the cheese.

Stir until well mixed.

Heat in the microwave until cheese is completely melted (about 2 minutes). Stir thoroughly.

Pour the bloody mary cheese dip into a serving bowl and place in the middle of a serving platter surrounded by the black bats.

Helpful Tips:

The kalamata olive bread topping is a hit with adults, while the sweeter black grapes are more popular with the kids.
