- Servings: 24
|½ cup||Blood Orange Juice|
|2 tsp||Tabasco Mild Bloody Mary Sauce|
|¾ cup||Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded|
|11 oz can||Refrigerated French Bread|
|¼ cup||Kalamata Olive Spread|
|¼ cup||Black Grapes|
|Bat Shaped Cookie Cutters, other halloween shapes may be used as well|
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Puree the black grapes and set aside.
Lay the refrigerator French bread on a board.
Using a rolling pin, roll to the dough until it is 1 inch thick.
Cut French loaf into bat shapes using the cookie cutter and place on a well greased cookie sheet.
Bake in oven for 8-10 minutes.
Allow to cool.
Using a knife, spread a heaping teaspoon of the kalamata topping on half of the bats.
Top the other half of the bats with the black grape puree.
In a glass bowl, combine the blood orange juice, ketchup, bloody mary sauce, and the cheese.
Stir until well mixed.
Heat in the microwave until cheese is completely melted (about 2 minutes). Stir thoroughly.
Pour the bloody mary cheese dip into a serving bowl and place in the middle of a serving platter surrounded by the black bats.
The kalamata olive bread topping is a hit with adults, while the sweeter black grapes are more popular with the kids.
