Halloween Pig in a Coffin

What a treat, these hot dogs are perfect for the occasion. The cranberry sauce and sauerkraut really come together nicely here.
 

Ingredients

  • 6 large franks
  • 6 hero rolls
  • 6 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 3 cups sauerkraut
  • 1 can cranberry sauce

Method

With a food marker, make scary faces on each frank, then grill or bake until skin starts to split. Mix butter and garlic salt. Scoop a slit hollow in the top of rolls. Butter and grill roll until toasted. Place frank in bun so face is visible Spread about 2 tablespoons of cranberry sauce around edges of frank. Top with sauerkraut, and bottom of bun, for the lid of coffin. Serve remaining cranberry sauce as a garnish.
