This adult margarita gets it red color from grenadine, raspberries, and food coloring, if you choose.
 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup grenadine syrup
  • 1 (6-oz.) can frozen limeade concentrate
  • 8 oz. good tequila
  • 2 oz. triple sec
  • 4 oz. artificially sweetened citrus soda
  • 1 cup frozen raspberries
  • 3 to 5 drops red food coloring, if desired
  • Ice

Method

Pour syrup into a shallow dish. Dip rims of four margarita or martini glasses into syrup; turn over and tilt from side to side, allowing syrup to drip down glasses. In a blender, combine limeade, tequila, triple sec, soda, raspberries, and food coloring. Fill to top with ice and blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
