Black Devilish and White Ghost Cakes

The Halloween treats are easy to prepare and very kid friendly. Make your frosting at home and decorate already made personal cakes.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 recipe white frosting, see below
  • 1 11 oz package cream filled Little Debbie Devil Squares
  • 1 (0.68 oz) tube black decorating gel
  • White Frosting:
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups powdered sugar, divided
  • 4 tablespoon milk, divided
 
Method

The frosting: Beat butter, salt, 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar and 3 tablespoons milk at medium speed with an electric mixer until blended. Gradually beat in remaining powdered sugar and milk. Using a pastry bag with a very fine round tip, pipe frosting onto each cake square in the shape of a ghost, adding remaining frosting to bag as needed. Pipe 2 dots of black decorating gel to form eyes.
