- Servings: 8
|2||Apples of Different Colors, red, green or yellow|
|1 cup||Orange Juice|
|8 oz||Honey Nut Cream Cheese Spread, softened|
|1 tsp||Almond Extract|
|2||or 3 Tablespoons Brown Sugar|
|1 cup||Salted Peanuts, coarsely chopped|
Wash, core and slice apples. Pour orange juice in a gallon zip-lock bag; add apple slices; shake to coat well. (This will help prevent apples from turning brown.)
Remove and drain apples on a wire rack.
Mix together remaining ingredients. Put cream cheese mixture in a pretty bowl.
Add apple slices to surround the cream cheese dip.
We had an abundance of apples where I grew up in Upstate New York. I have been making this dip for years and we just love it. My daughter-in-law called to ask for the recipe after I fixed it while we were camping; that's how quick and easy it is.
